Nelly Anne Garofalo, 94, of Greenville passed away on April 26, 2025, at Countryside Senior Living in Greenville. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM, Tuesday in the chapel of Coker-Mathews Funeral Home with Father Marcus Chidozie officiating. Visitation will start at 1:00 PM until service time. Nelly will be laid to rest at Cashner Cemetery in Conroe, Texas by her husband.
Nelly was born on February 26, 1931, in Etterbeek, Belgium to Gaston Libert and Mariette Libert. Nelly married the love of her life George Garofalo on January 30, 1954, in Louvain, Belgium. Nelly was a housewife and a member of Notre Dame Church in Easton, Connecticut.
Nelly is survived by her sons, Jacques Garofalo and wife, Lynnore of Greenville, Texas, Pierre Garofalo and wife, Wendy of Spring, Texas, Paul Garofalo of Georgia, daughter, Claudia Garofalo-dePretto and husband, Umberto dePretto of Cologny, Switzerland, sister, Liliane Helman of Belgium, grandchildren, Sierra Garofalo, Amadeo dePretto, Tancredi dePretto, and nephew, Philippe Helman.
Nelly is preceded in death by her husband on April 1, 2007 and her parents.
