Philip Crutcher Matthews, Sr., 71, of Greenville, passed away on July 12, 2019 at his residence. A celebration of life service will be 2:00 P.M., Saturday, July 20, 2019 at Coker-Mathews Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Keenan Williams officiating. A visitation will follow the service at his home.
Mr. Matthews was born in Pine Bluff, Arkansas on June 27, 1948 to William L. Matthews and Sue Louise Crutcher. He married Mary Anne Erwin on August 5, 1972 in Dallas, Texas. He worked as a banker and entrepreneur.
He is survived by his sons, Philip C. Matthews, Jr. and Russell Matthews; brother, William L. Matthews; sister, Susan T. Matthews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, parents and father and mother-in-law.
