Robert Loys ”Bob” Scott, 76, of Greenville, Texas, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 8, 2025, in McKinney, Texas. A memorial service to honor his life will be held at 3:00 P.M., Sunday, February 2, 2025, at Coker-Mathews Funeral Home Chapel.

Born on December 23, 1948, in Dallas County, Texas, Bob was the son of Loys and Reba Scott. He grew up on the family farm near Wolfe City alongside his brother, Jim, before the family relocated to Paris, Texas. Bob graduated from Paris High School and continued his education at East Texas State University, earning his undergraduate degree, before completing his legal studies at Texas Tech University Law School.

A dedicated attorney, Bob served the Greenville community for over four decades, leaving an indelible mark through his professionalism and commitment to justice.

Bob found joy in connecting with others and relished time outdoors. Whether working on his tractor, exploring nature, or relaxing at his secluded cabin in the Arkansas woods, he embraced life with passion and purpose.

Bob is survived by his son, Steven Scott, and his wife, April, along with their three children, Caden, Jace, and Lyric. He is also survived by his grandson Camden Scott, the son of his late son, David Scott.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Jim, and his son, David.
