Russell Edward Johnston, 72, of Greenville, Texas, went to be with his Lord and Savior on June 23, 2023. He was born on September 22, 1950 in Merced, California, to Donna and Robert Johnston.
Russell was a hard worker, he worked as a tax expert for H&R Block for 30+ years before retiring. He was known for his love of collecting and selling coins, as well as playing penny slots at the casino in his spare time.
Russell is survived by his wife, Dian; sons: Josiah Johnston and wife Brittany Johnston, Robert Edward Johnston of South Carolina; daughter, Destiny Johnston and husband Scott Kirkpatrick; grandchildren: Kevin Turner, Kayla Johnston, and Kyle Johnston.
Russell was preceded in death by his parents Donna and Robert Johnston.
There will be a memorial service, held at 1:00 pm, on Friday, June 30, 2023, at LYNCH Funeral Service Chapel.
