Stephen Paul Freeman Sr, age 63, of Quinlan, went to be his Lord and Savior on Thursday, February 15, 2024. Funeral Services will be held at

11:00 a.m. Friday, February 23, 2024, at Ingram Funeral Home in Quinlan. Visitation will be held from 5:00 pm – 7:00 p.m. Thursday, February 22, 2024, at the funeral home. The burial will be held at 11 : 00 a.m. on Monday, February 26, 2024, at Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery.

Pallbearers for the service will be Aiden Yarbrough, Stephen Freeman 11, David Yarbrough, David Smith, Nathaniel Westbrook, Jimmy Cozart, and Clayton Wilkerson.

Stephen Freeman was born on Friday, May 6, 1960, in Gladewater, Texas to the late Mr. Isaac Ernest Roberts Jr and Dorothy Eugenia Lee Wood Roberts. He graduated from North Mesquite High School. Stephen married Miss Pamela Diane Reasor on September 24, 1983, in Mesquite, Texas and she preceded him in death on August 8, 2013. Stephen enlisted into the United States Navy on February 17, 1987. He proudly served his country for 11 years as an aviation maintenance technician and received the National Defense Service Medal before his honorable discharge on February 16, 1997. He enjoyed collecting airplanes and HO trains. Stephen loved front porch sitting and being outdoors. He enjoyed fishing, boating, mudding on his 4-wheeler, and hunting with his son and best friend, David and his daughter, Katrina. He also adored making people laugh. He was a wonderful comedian with a quick sense of humor and always made things funny for others. He was also preceded in death by his dog, Ginger in 2023. He loved his family with passion, but his beautiful grandchildren were his world. His incredible legacy will continue through them.

He is dearly loved and will be greatly missed by his son, Stephen Paul Freeman II and wife Adella of Tawakoni; daughters, Ashley Yarbrough and husband David of Quinlan and Katrina Freeman and husband Nathaniel of Quinlan; sisters, Darla Decker Roberts and wife Heather and Melody Storm; grandchildren, Aiden Yarbrough, Stephen Freeman Ill, Jordan Yarbrough and his K9 Kid, Bella.
