Travis D. Shinn, 73, of Merit, passed away on March 6, 2021 in Greenville. A graveside service will be 2:00 P.M., Wednesday, March 10, 2021 at Merit Cemetery with Rev. Samuel Glenn officiating. Coker-Mathews Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Shinn was born June 23, 1947 in Farmersville, Texas to William Adam Shinn and Zelma Lee Rogers Shinn. He was a Veteran of the United States Army. He graduated from Texas A&M College Station, he worked as a Cattle Rancher and was of the Baptist faith.
He is survived by his brother, Jerry David Shinn of Merit; sister Genelle Butler of Merit and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers and one sister.
Pallbearers will be Casey Gunnels, Lyndel Butler, Dean Richter, Jason Campbell, John Griffin, Joey Shinn and Cory White.
Honorary pallbearers will be Kyton White and Campbell White.
