Wanda Jean Cooper, 94, of Greenville died Monday, May 6, 2019.  Her funeral service will be 2:00 PM Thursday, May 16, 2019 at Coker-Mathews Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Brad LaFavers officiating.  Interment will follow at Tidwell Cemetery.  Visitation will be 1:00 PM Thursday until service time at the funeral home.

Mrs. Cooper was born in the White Rock community on October 8, 1924.  She was the daughter of Almer Z. Puckett and Billie Louise Barker Puckett.  She married Albert L. Cooper on November 3, 1962 in Hunt County.  She retired from First Greenville National Bank as Executive Assistant, serving the bank over 46 years.  Mrs. Cooper was a life long member of Tidwell Baptist Church and succeeded her mother as church pianist for many years. Included in her many community activities was weekly piano playing for many Greenville service clubs.  She was an animal welfare advocate and supporter of animal rescue.

Survivors include nephews, John Timothy Puckett and wife Diane, Tom Johnson and wife Norma and Barry Johnson and wife Janie; and special friends, Jeff and Jimi Bratt.  

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brothers Billy Jeff Puckett and wife Betty and Marshall Puckett and wife Patti; and nephew Andrew Marshall Puckett.
