Wanda Trammell passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, in Greenville, Texas on February 6, 2023 at the age of 72.
Wanda is survived by her son James Trammell and Sandra Brewer of Little Rock Arkansas, daughter Marie Hendricks and Joseph Smith of Weatherford, Texas and grandchildren Eule Winkler, Stephanie Wynn of Quinlan, Texas and William Trammell of Deer Creek, Montana. She was proceeded in death by her loving husband Sherman Trammell, daughter Phyllis Winkler, parents Gerald and Margaret Kelly, and sisters Virginia Whitworth and Kathy Bush.
Wanda was born on December 23, 1950 in Peoria, Illinois to Gerald and Margaret Kelly. She graduated from Brunswick High School in Brunswick, Tennessee and married Sherman Trammell on October 1, 1969. They moved to several locations in the United States due to Sherman being in the U. S. Army. They raised their children in Memphis, Tennessee, moved to Arlington, Texas to be with her parents, and eventually settled in Quinlan, Texas for their retirement.
Wanda was an accomplished quilter and could be found making quilts with old shirts, for her family. She was a thoughtful individual who loved her flowers and taking care of her cats and kittens. Wanda also loved visiting “Spooky” locations. She was fascinated with the paranormal and couldn’t resist reading or watching any ghost story.
Arrangements are being made to honor her with being interred at a memorial cemetery in Memphis, Tennessee with her husband, Phil.
