Beloved wife and mother,  Lorene Clydette (Cassidy) Spalding -born October 5, 1943 in Denison TX; Died November 7, 2023 in Greenville, TX.

In the 1960’s she was the head majorette for the Polytechnic High School Marching 100. From 1970-1980 she founded the NASA Lassies Twirling and Drill team group, taught at Jill Rauscher’s School of Dance in Clear Lake City, TX. She also taught tap dancing, ballet, and jazz. In the 1980’s, she founded the Purple Reign Twirling and Drill Team group and taught at Jackie Ramon’s Dance Studio in Greenville, TX. In 1990, she was the Executive Director of the Boys and Girls Club of Hunt County. She also founded the Drill Team program at the Boys and Girls Club. She had over 100 girls in the program year after year. She absolutely loved teaching, designing, and making costumes for recitals and parades. Christmas parades were a long-standing tradition for Clydette. She would run and walk alongside her ‘kids’ throughout every parade.

Preceded in death by her parents, Clyde and Lorene Cassidy.

Survived by her husband Bob (Bobby) Spaulding whom she shared 64 amazing years with in this life and married 58 of those years; daughters Alicia Matthews of Little Elm TX, Dana Spaulding-Hill of Lucas TX, son Todd Spaulding of Poteet TX. Sons-in-law LéVell Hill and Melvin Matthews, daughter-in-law Jennifer Spaulding. 11 grandchildren Devin, Avery, and Kamryn Matthews, Will and Cole Spaulding, Zach, Hannah and Josh Conner, Sherise Matthews, Sophia and Lucas Hill.  3 great-grandchildren Melodie, Isaiah, Jeremiah Reaves. Sister Annette Tempelmeyer (Carl) and brother Tommy (Bubba) Cassidy (Barbara). Numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends

In her later years, she was an avid fan of the Dallas Mavericks and Texas Rangers.

Honey, Mom, Gran Gran, Sister, Mrs Spaulding, Mrs Clydette, will be dearly missed forever.
