Ron Ponto, 61, of Greenville, passed away on February 21, 2023, in Greenville, Texas. Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M., Sunday, February 26, 2023, at Coker-Mathews Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Travis Chappell officiating. Visitation will be 1:00 P.M. until service time. Interment will be in Memoryland Memorial Park.
Ron was born June 28, 1961, in Lafayette, Indiana to Robert Gene Ponto and Betty Budreau Ponto. He married Terri Webb on August 16, 2014, in Greenville, Texas. He worked in construction and was a member of Fellowship Bible.
He is survived by his wife, Terri Ponto; sons, Vinson Ponto and wife, Beth, Zach Ponto and wife, Grace, and Matt Ponto and wife, Logan; stepson- Josh McGuffey; brothers, Bob Ponto and wife, Peg, and Rick Ponto and wife, Angi; sisters, Jean-Ann Crouch and husband, Chuck and Mary Schultz; grandchildren, Zane and Linkin Ponto and Charlotte and Jonah Ponto.
He was preceded in death by his parents; infant sister, Diana Ponto; brother-in-law, Mike Schultz.
Pallbearers will be Vinson Ponto, Matt Ponto, Zach Ponto, Josh McGuffey, Curtis Evans, and Jason Hanner.
