JoAnn Bridges, 88, of Greenville, passed away on June 6, 2019 at Briarcliff Health Center. A graveside service will be held at 10:30 A.M., Monday, June 10, 2019 at Evergreen Cemetery in Paris, Texas with Rev. Brian Bosworth and Rev. Deana Lowe officiating. Visitation will be 4 P.M. to 6 P.M., on Sunday, June 9, 2019 at Coker-Mathews Funeral Home.
Mrs. Bridges was born on October 18, 1930 in Kerens, Texas to Clifton Seale and Daffie Lee Holmes. She attended East Texas State Teachers College, now Texas A&M- Commerce. She married Walter Selman (Sonny) Bridges on August 4, 1951. She worked for Shirey’s Manufacturing, was a homemaker, a member of Westview United Methodist Church, Daughters of the American Revolution and The Pioneers Club.
She is survived by her daughter, Julie Ronck and husband, David of Dallas; grandchildren, Emily Ronck of Dallas and Andrew Ronck of New York; cousins, Ben Brister of McKinney, Billy Watson of Sachse, and nephew, Dr. Jack Bankhead of Dallas.
She is preceded in death by her husband and parents.
