Services for Billy Russell Moore, 62, of Lone Oak, are scheduled for 2 p.m., Friday, April 5, 2024, at Lone Oak Baptist Church, with Bro. Robert Cook officiating, under the direction of Bartley Funeral Home, Lone Oak.

Interment will be in Hooker Cemetery, Lone Oak.

Mr. Moore passed away March 31, 2024, at his residence in Lone Oak. He was born July 29, 1961, in Greenville to Billy Melvin and Johnnie Pauline Crabtree Moore. Billy lived all his life in Lone Oak and was a member of Lone Oak Baptist Church. He graduated from East Texas State University, Commerce, with a bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Science, minoring in Business. He worked as a farmer and a rancher. Billy was also a member of the Texas Racehorse Association. He loved watching westerns and fishing. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include the mother of his children, Alwanda Moore of Lone Oak; two daughters, Andi Moore of Lone Oak and Meagan Dyer and husband Noah of Sulphur Springs; grandson, Bodie Russell Dyer; and numerous other relatives and friends.

Pallbearers will be Ray Crabtree, Walter Crow, Mike Craig, Buddy Stigall, Charles Wood, and Scott Mahand.

Honorary pallbearers are William Powell and Tony Gore.

The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m., Thursday, at Bartley Funeral Home, Lone Oak.
