Beverly Ann Becton Gish, 86, passed away on September 18, 2022, at Colonial Lodge in Greenville.

Services will be at 2:00 pm on Saturday, September 24, in Greenville, at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church with Father Nicholas Funk officiating.  A reception will follow at St. Paul’s Clardy Hall.  Coker-Mathews Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Born on February 23, 1936, in Greenville Texas, she was the daughter of Dr. Joe Becton and Edith Becton.  She was educated at Greenville ISD and attended Southern Methodist University where she met her husband David Hilton Gish Sr.  They married on June 2, 1956 and were married 53 years.

She served the community through membership in her church which included ECW and Daughters of the King.  She served with Community Concert Series/Greenville Entertainment Series.  She was a member of the Spade and Trowel Garden Club and a Den Mother of Cub Scouts. She was a lifetime member of The Antique Automobile Club of America, Greenville chapter.

She was an avid reader of novels, enjoyed being with her family and friends, and had an exceptional recall of movie and film trivia. She and her longtime high school friends developed their own humorous language to communicate with each other secretly and passed this language down to her children and grandchildren.

She is survived by: Her Brother Joe Becton and his wife Marilyn Becton; son David Hilton Gish, Jr. and wife Lisa Burgin Gish; daughter Lisa Gish Mohme and husband Rik Mohme; grandchildren Nikki Eastham Porter, Philipp Eastham II, Amber Eastham, Amanda Gish, Kaleigh Eastham, Eve Gish, Kegan Eastham, Morgan Stewart, Dakota Stewart, and Troy Stewart; and great-grandchildren Lennon Porter, Kaden Eastham and Ellesyn Eastham.

She was preceded in death by her parents Dr. Joe D Becton and Edith Rachel Becton of Greenville and her husband David H. Gish Sr. of Lincoln Nebraska.
