With heavy hearts we announce the passing of Billie Lou Patterson, a beloved wife and mother, who passed away peacefully on November 19, 2024, at the age of 94. She had a deep devotion to family. She is loved and missed by her son, Chris Patterson, daughter-in-law Ladonna Patterson; grandchildren Clay Patterson, Brittaney Gambrell and husband Dusten Gambrell; and great granddaughter, Cheyanne Gambrell.
Billie was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Leonard Patterson, her parents, Clayton and Ossie Newkirk, and her sisters, Freida Clutter and June Harvey.
There will be a visitation held at Commerce Funeral Home on November 22, 2024 to share stories and memories of Billie with the family. A private burial will be held at a later date in Houston where she will be laid to rest next to her husband.
2 Corinthians 5:1 reminds us “For we know that if the early tent we live in is destroyed, we have a building from God, an eternal house in Heaven, not built by human hands.”
