Billy Don Causey, 71 of Floyd, TX passed away at home on Sunday, May 26, 2019. His funeral is scheduled at 1:00 P.M. on Friday, May 31, 2019 and visitation is set for Thursday, May 30, 2019 from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at Lynch Funeral Home in Caddo Mills, TX. Burial will follow at the I.O.O.F Cemetery in Caddo Mills, TX.
Mr. Causey was a 1966 graduate of Bland High School in Merit, TX. He attended East Texas State University from 1966 to 1969. During high school, Mr. Causey worked for Langford Auto Plex in Greenville, TX and after high school graduation worked for the First Bank of Celeste. He also owned B. C. Motors. Mr. Causey retired from Plano Fire Department after 30 years where he served as an EMT and Engineer. He accepted the Lord as his Savior during RA Camp at the age of 12.
Mr. Causey is survived by one daughter, Amanda McGee and her husband Michael of Ladonia, TX; one grandson, Dalton McGee and his fiancé Alyssa of Ladonia, TX; two nieces, Cherri and Jodi and one nephew, Bobby; Linda Causey and Vickie Causey.
He was preceded in death by his father, George E. Causey on February 20, 2001; his mother Georgia Myre Causey on October 7, 2007 and his brother Jerry Bob Causey on June 8, 2009.
