Debra Lea Johnson, 61, of Quinlan went to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, October 14, 2019. A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Saturday, October 19, 2019 at Ingram Funeral Home in Quinlan, Texas with Rev. Eddie Singleton officiating.
Deb was born on May 12, 1958 in Alton, Illinois. She is the daughter of David Thomas Tindall, Sr. and Janet Lee Lenington Tindall. She attended Alton High School and studied Early Childhood Development at Lewis and Clark Community College in Alton, Il. Most recently Deb was a homemaker, but she also worked as a daycare teacher In Illinois and as a substitute teacher for Quinlan ISD while her daughters attended school there. She adored children, especially her grandkids.
Deb enjoyed spending time with family and friends and in nature. Besides being a social butterfly, her favorite pastimes included fishing, camping, and gardening. She also loved animals and was often referred to by family and friends as “Ellie May”. She was quick to take in a stray or rehabilitate an abandoned animal in the wild. She had pets ranging from birds, cats, and dogs to raccoons, squirrels and hogs.
Deb is dearly loved and will be missed by her husband Billy Tucker, two daughters and son-in-law Alexis Campbell of Quinlan, TX and Andrea and Cary Grizzle of Plano, TX; siblings David Tindall Jr. of Dorsey, IL and Kevin and Patty Tindall of Brighton, IL and Lynn and Arthur Jackson of Glen Carbon, IL. She will also be deeply missed by her grandchildren Jacob Tarver, Chelsey Beane, Joshua Bell, Mark Campbell, Jr., and Alexandria (Allie) Grizzle. Debra was preceded in death by father, David Tindall Sr, and her brother Steven Tindall.
