Dennis Earl McCoy was called home on December 15, 2020 in Greenville, TX after complications with COVID-19.  Dennis passed with his loving sons next to his side, along with knowing the love shared by many other family members.

Dennis was born to Jim & Anna McCoy in Dallas Texas on September 28, 1948.  Dennis married the love of his life, Diana on Nov. 29, 1968 and they recently celebrated their 52nd wedding anniversary.  Dennis & Diana had a love so strong that they could not be separated- not even by this world.  Diana passed just 6 days before Dennis, but his family is at peace knowing Diana was there to welcome Dennis home.

Dennis was known for his love of speed- whether that was dirt track racing, motorcycle racing, or really any kind of racing.  He liked the competition and also getting to have his family with him while enjoying his favorite hobby.  This is probably where the whole family gets their competitive nature!

With the passing of Dennis the world has lost a wonderful father, grandfather & great-grandfather.  Dennis loved his family and was very proud of it.  Dennis was especially proud of his son’s and cherished all the memories made with them over the years.  He also had a very special spot in his heart for his daughter-in-laws, he told his sons to always take care of them and he made sure he let everyone know how beautiful they were.  Dennis greatly loved his grandchildren and great-grandchildren and always made them laugh – PaPaw was known for the way he made his lips move and make a funny noise, so they would get a laugh out of it.  He will always be remembered for that by his grandchildren/great-grandchildren.

Dennis was a hard-working man with an excellent work ethic; stories have been shared with the family of Dennis going into work when he was very sick, to even passing a kidney stone; he believed in hard work and providing for his family.  He enjoyed working night and day whether it was for his own business or small odd jobs.  He liked to keep himself busy and enjoyed working on engines and cars- he could fix just about anything.
Losing a father is never an easy thing, but all the good memories with Dennis will never be forgotten.

Dennis is survived by son Dennis Jr and Tammy, son Paul, son Michael and Kelly; Grandchildren Jansin, Courtney and Kylee and 2 great-grandchildren.

A private family “Celebration of Life” will be held in lieu of a service.  Condolences can be shared with the family by mailing to: 2612 Sabine Circle, Royse City TX 75189 OR online by visiting www.lynchfuneralservice.com.
