Helen Addieline Watson, 86, of Quinlan, Texas, passed away on January 17, 2023, in Greenville, Texas. Funeral services will be 1:00 P.M., Friday, January 20, 2023, at Quinlan Church of Christ with Mr. Randy Reagan officiating. Interment will be in Dry Creek Cemetery. Visitation 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M., Thursday, January 19, 2023, at Coker-Mathews Funeral Home.
Mrs. Watson was born March 9, 1936, in Quinlan, Texas to Ephraim Isaac Doty and Dovie Ellen Trapp Doty. She married Clarence Orbin Watson Jr. on November 7, 1950, in Hunt County, Texas. She retired from Quinlan ISD as the Cafeteria Manager. She was a member of Quinlan Church of Christ.
She is survived by her son, Clarence Weldon Watson; daughters, Helen Faye Stewart, and Susan Marie Spears; brother, Nathan Doty; grandchildren, Lee Keith Stewart, Kevin Paul Stewart, Calvin Douglas Spears, Eric Scott Spears, Ashley Gonzales, Jeffrey Johnson, Courtney Johnson, Stephanie Lopez, Beverly Whitmire, and Christopher Watson; and numerous great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband; daughter, Tabitha Johnson; her parents; brothers, Cecil Doty, Herman Doty, Dewey Doty; and sister, Jean Watson.
Pallbearers will be Tony Stewart, Stetson Spears, Calvin Spears, Eric Spears, Kevin Stewart, and Lee Stewart.
