Irma Kathlene “Kay” Spraggins, 95, of Greenville died May 14th 2020. She was born May 28th 1924 to J.A. and Lena Moore in Bloomington, Illinois.

Kay was a High School graduate and as a young adult she worked as a beautician.  She met the love of her life,  R. W.  Spraggins who immediately called her “Kay.”   She has been known as  Kay ever since.  Upon her death,  they were married for 76 years and nine and a half months. 

Kay adored life and lived it to its fullest. Mostly she loved her family and enjoyed caring for them. She and her husband spent a great deal of time traveling and had succeeded in visiting all 50 states in the U.S.  They had also been to multiple Provinces of  Canada and to other places around the world.  Kay was a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother, aunt, and friend and will be missed by all who knew her.

Survivors include her husband, R.W. Spraggins; son, Jay Spraggins and his wife, Becky; daughter-in-law, Lynn Spraggins; eight grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; four great great grandchildren;  sister, Phyllis Alston; sisters-in-law, Ann Murray and Jane Wilson; brother-in-law, Rex Spraggins; special niece Georgianna Kennedy; numerous nieces and nephews; along with a host of loving relatives and friends.  She is preceeded in death by her parents, a son, Riley Spraggins; two sisters, and one brother.

An inurnment service will be held at the DFW National Cemetery in Dallas at a later date.
