James Stibbens, Jr., 67, of Quinlan, passed away Saturday, January 18, 2020 in Greenville. James was born on October 4, 1952 in Wichita Falls, Texas to James Stibbens, Sr. and Tommie Jean Yarbrough. He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. James married June Potts on July 13, 1984 in Rocky Ford, Colorado.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, June; sons, Timothy Gossett, Sr. (Yvonne), Charles Shelly; daughters, Joanna Fouse, Sheri Simpson (Michael), Beverly Gibson (Phillip); son-in-law, Phillip Carter; grandchildren, Tonya Shelly, Danica Shelly, Timothy Gossett, Jr., Trey Gossett, Taylor Gossett, Alexandria Wilson, Jessica Crouch, Devon Ulm, Ronnie Price, Ashley Price, Danielle Clawson, Levi Clawson, Timothy Clawson, William Simpson, David Garner II, August Garner, Korey Simpson, Kennady Simpson, Ryan Gibson, Matthew Gibson, Jeff Palmer, Edward Palmer, and Charlie Shelly; numerous great-grandchildren; sisters, Rama Farmer (Anthony), Kay Gabbard; in-law, Clara Diane “Nana Beep” Frossard; many nieces, nephews, other family and friends.

James was preceded in death by his daughter, Amy Carter; and grandchild, Michelle Scott.

Visitation will be 2:00 to 3:00 PM, on Sunday, January 26, 2020 at Top Rail Cowboy Church, followed by funeral service at 3:00 PM.
