Janis ”Mema” Marie Kimbell, 70, passed away June 25, 2023, at her residence in Greenville, Texas. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, June, 29, 2023 at 10:00 a.m., at the chapel of Coker-Mathews Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Memoryland Memorial Park. Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Janis was born September 22, 1952, in Greenville, Texas to Lincoln and Beatrice Brown Cleveland. She worked as a financial analyst with L-3 until her retirement. During her last few years of life, she took care of her youngest great grandchild Lilliann ”Lily”. She was a member of the Hillside Church of Christ.
Janis enjoyed gardening, cooking, spending time outside and most of all spending time with her family and friends.
Janis is survived by her sons, Jody Key and wife, Tammy, Brian Key; grandchildren, Kirsten Key, Alexander Key and Emilie Honzell, Dylan Bynum-Key; great-grandchildren, Lilliann Marie Virgel, Loretta Honzell, Eleanor Honzell; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She is preceded in death by her parents; and brother, Ernest Cleveland.
