Jose Isaias Martinez, 73, of Greenville, passed away July 3, 2023, at the Hunt Regional Medical Center. A funeral service will be held Friday, July 7, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. at the Iglesia Bautista Hispana Ridgecrest with Pastor David Salazar officiating. Burial will follow at Memoryland Memorial Park. Visitation will be Thursday, July 6, 2023, from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. at Coker-Mathew Funeral Home.
Jose was born April 20, 1950, in Monterrey, Mexico to Macario Martinez and Dolores Rios. He married Guadalupe Lopez on December 29, 1975, in Monterrey Nuevo Leon, Mexico. He was a retired minister and a member of the Iglesia Bautista Hispana Ridgecrest.
Jose is survived by his wife, Guadalupe Martinez; sons, Sergio Martinez, Ricardo Martinez; daughter, Karla Rodriguez; brothers, Gerardo Martinez, Macario Martinez; sisters, Irma Carr, Sandra Garcia; grandchildren, Edgar Rodriguez, Reyna Martinez, Alfredo Rodriguez, Jr., Jeremiah Martinez, Ervin Rodriguez, Joshua Martinez, Ricki Martinez and Elias Rodriguez.
He is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Sergio Martinez; and sisters, Idalia Martinez and Juana Martinez.
Pallbearers will be Sergio Martinez, Ricardo Martinez, Alfredo Rodriguez, Cruz Carr, Edgar Rodriguez and Alfredo Rodriguez, Jr.
