Lucille H. Scott, 90, of Greenville, died Monday, December 30, 2019 in Hunt Regional Medical Center. Her funeral service will be 2:00 PM, Saturday, January 4, 2020 at Park Street Baptist Church under the direction of Coker-Mathews Funeral Home. Rev. Johnny Hailes will officiate. Interment will follow in Emory Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday, 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
Mrs. Scott was born in Rains County, Texas on October 6, 1929. She was the daughter of William Edmond Hooten and Laura Belle Oldfield Hooten. She married Billy Gene Scott on November 3, 1950. She was a member of Park Street Baptist Church and a retired registered nurse for 50 years.
Survivors include her sons, Arthur Paul Scott and wife Terry of Greenville and Billy Charles Scott of Greenville; a grandson, Tom Kelby Scott and wife, Jordan Jaco and great-grandson, Titus Scott. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and brothers, Bill Hooten and Gene Hooten.
Pallbearers will be Randy Leggett, Shelby Tippit, James Castle, Larry Thomas Upchurch, David Upchurch, Dale Black and Tom Scott.
The family requests in lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Park Street Baptist Church or the American Cancer Society.
