Nihl Burdette Bulkley, 86, went to be with the Lord peacefully on August 17, 2020.  Nihl was born to Burdette Edmund Bulkley and Edith Mae Wilson Bulkley in McCoy, Colorado on March 4, 1934.  Nihl was the oldest of four children.  He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, David Edmund Bulkley and one sister, Alma Ruth Bruskay.  Nihl is survived by one brother, Dale Bulkley and wife Leslie of New Braunfels, Texas.

Nihl is also survived by one daughter, Sandra Pauline Gann of Sulphur Springs, Texas; two sons, Nihl Burdette Bulkley, II and wife Barbara of Atlanta, Texas and Clinton Bryant Bulkley and wife Linda of Sulphur Springs, Texas.

Nihl has 10 grandchildren:  Justin Gann, LaWana Hohenberger and husband Brock, Jonathan Gann and wife Shannon, Jesse Gann and Stephanie Ricks.  Also, Nihl B. Bulkley, III and wife Monica, Heather Juarez and husband Oswaldo, Hannah Yow and husband John, also Leldon Bulkley and wife Emily and Bryant Bulkley and wife Shelly.  He was Grandpa Great to all 10 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.

Nihl was a preacher of the gospel of Christ for over 70 years.

Nihl dedicated his life to serving the Lord.  He went to Bible Seminary in Fort Worth and had a vital ministry of going to churches that were in trouble either with finances or with the ministry itself and then working with it until the problems were solved, then moving on to help the next church in need.  We will miss this godly man who knew his Bible and the principles within its pages.

Graveside services will be 10:00 AM Wednesday, August 19, 2020 at Prairie Valley Cemetery, with his grandson, Rev. Nihl B. Bulkley, III officiating.  Visitation will be Tuesday, August 18, 2020, 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Coker-Mathews Funeral Home.

We are requesting that you limit the size of the gathering during the viewing due to concerns regarding the current health crisis.  Please feel free to come and pay your respects but limit your contact with others as per recommended guidelines from the CDC.
