Philip C. Cross, 76, of Greenville, Texas, passed away on September 7, 2021 at the Presbyterian Hospital of Dallas. A funeral service is planned for Monday, September 13, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at Highland Terrace Baptist Church with Dr. Chet Haney and Rev. John Foster officiating. Burial will follow at Cumby Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. until service time at the church.
Philip was born July 7, 1945 in Greenville, Texas to Kriss K. and Lola Patterson Cross. He married Janice Hancock on September 24, 1966 in Dallas, Texas. He served in the United States Air Force and worked as a teacher. He was a Deacon for Highland Terrace Baptist Church, where he was a member.
Philip is survived by his wife, Janice Cross; son, Philip Cross, Jr.; daughter, Kristin Craven and husband, Adam; brother, Mathew Cross and wife, Sue; sister, Kristi Coats and husband, Jerry; grandchildren, Kade Cherne, Landon Craven, Macey Craven; great-grandson, Silas Cherne; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
