David Shawn Santana, 41, of Greenville, passed away on August 26, 2021, at St. Mark’s Hospital in Salt Lake City, Utah. Funeral services will be 10:00 A.M., Thursday, September 2, 2021, at Family Fellowship with Rev. Paul Blue officiating, Rev. Keith Davis and Mr. Jeremy McClanahan officiating. Interment will be in Memoryland Memorial Park. Visitation will be 4:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M., Wednesday, September 1, 2021, at Coker-Mathews Funeral Home.
Shawn was born August 18, 1980, to David Santana and Judy Mauldin Santana in Greenville, Texas. He married Holly Hamilton on November 25, 2000, in Greenville, Texas. Shawn was a Combat Veteran, he proudly served in the United States Marine Corps, serving in Afghanistan, where he received a Combat Action Medal. After serving his country, he went to work as a Lineman for Farmers Electric Cooperative and Oncor. Out of all the jobs Shawn had, his proudest jobs and accomplishments were being a dad and a husband. Holly, Weston and Shyler were his world and he always put them before himself in every decision he made.
He is survived by his wife, Holly Santana; son, Weston Santana; daughter, Shyler Santana; mother, Judy Santana; brothers, Michael Key and wife, Carmen, Jody Key and wife, Tammy, and Brian Key; sisters, Laura Santana, Kim Soaper, Monica Santana, and Misty Santana; aunts and uncles, Jackie Key, James and Ruby Waldroup, and Jesse and Linda Santana.
He was preceded in death by his father, David Santana; and uncle, Larry Wayne Key.
Pallbearers will be Weston Santana, Michael Key, Jody Key, Jeremy McClanahan, Chad Marshall, Craig Anderson, Andrew Jubera, Justin Jackson and Justin Mason.
Honorary pallbearers will be Kaden Key, Clay Hamilton, Jacob McClanahan, Justin Martinez and his Marine Corp Brothers.
