Star Wars invaded
the land of the W. Walworth Harrison Public Library in the year of 2019. If
Obi-Wan Kenobie was there, he would have said, “May the 4th be with
you.”
Many Jedi fans, young and old, came to the library to celebrate Star Wars Day and Free Comic Book Day. Superman was seen webbing elbows with Princess Leia, Ewoks and Boba Fett.
Since their Galaxy was far, far away, Star Wars characters conquered the library display case and built the Planet Batuu out of colorful Legos. Brothers Peter and J.T. peer through the display case.
In Memory of Peter Mayew, the actor who played Chewbacca in Star Wars; and Stan Lee, who created Marvel Comics’ including superheroes Spider-man, X-Men, Iron Man and Hulk.
Library staff dressed as their favorite characters. Spiderman, Manuel Ramirez, webbed elbows with Star Wars heroes Princess Leia,
Christy Melton, and Ewok Jennifer Moses.

Star Wars Day was also, Free Comic Book Day. At the craft table, brothers Jayden, Diego and Chris Mendez, made Superhero masks, and showed off their free comic books.

Breaking News…Boba Fett was hired by Darth Vader to capture Han Solo, but he settled for reporter Brad Kellar, from a galaxy far away.
