Toyia Darlee Gilliam, a beloved entrepreneur and a Jack of All Trades, passed away on April 11, 2024. She was born on January 26, 1977, in Greenville, Texas. Toyia was known for her Heart of Gold and her willingness to give the shirt off her back to anyone in need. Her vibrant personality touched the lives of all who crossed her path.

Toyia found joy in various pursuits throughout her life. From working with the circus to horse training and selling cars, she embraced every opportunity with zest and determination. Her memories overflow with laughter and adventures that will be cherished by those who had the pleasure of knowing her.

Aside from her professional ventures, Toyia’s hobbies were a reflection of her diverse interests. She had a passion for singing and salesmanship, bringing smiles to many faces. Collecting knives, tee shirts, and Ray Bans brought her joy, as did attending concerts and spending time with her beloved wennie dog. Known for being a jester among her close friends and family, Toyia’s playful spirit will be dearly missed.

Among Toyia’s proudest accomplishments were her children – Skyler Ovalle and Hunter Gilliam. She treasured them above all else. Additionally, she made a mark through her involvement in a Tide commercial, showcasing her versatile talents to a wide audience.

In her journey through life, Toyia was supported by her loving family and friends. She is survived by her husband John Conway; daughter Skyler Ovalle & Adrian; son Hunter Gilliam; mother Sharon Underwood; brothers Timmy & Trina Underwood, Tommy & Lisa Underwood; sisters Tammy & Russell Rice, Tracy & Albert Hernandez; as well as numerous other relatives.

A Graveside Service to honor Toyia’s life will be held at 1:00 pm on April 16, 2024, at Dry Creek Cemetery in Quinlan, Texas

Toyia Darlee Gilliam left an indelible mark on all who knew her. Her kindness, humor, and unwavering love will continue to inspire those who were lucky enough to have shared in her life’s journey. May she rest in eternal peace knowing she was deeply loved and will be fondly remembered always.
