Funeral service for Charles E. Yarbrough, age 86, of Greenville will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Saturday, July 23, 2022 at Quinlan Funeral Home. Burial will follow the service at Lakeside Memorial Park in Quinlan. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 P.M. on Friday, July 22, 2022 at Quinlan Funeral Home. Mr. Yarbrough passed away on Thursday, July 14, 2022 in Greenville.
Charles was born on September 28, 1935 in Blytheville, Arkansas to Early and Josie (Fortenberry) Yarbrough. He married Ruby Jones August 25, 1970 in St. Louis, Missouri. Charles was retired from Quinlan Independent School District, where he served as a bus driver for twenty-five years. He enjoyed camping, fishing, playing games with his family, video games, sports, Sunday drives, singing, spending time with his kids and grandkids, crossword puzzles, and walking.
He is survived by his wife, Ruby Yarbrough of Greenville, Texas; sister, Betty Tipping of Irving, Texas; children, Charles Michael Yarbrough of St. Charles, Missouri, Kevin Yarbrough of Fenton, Missouri, Scotty Yarbrough of Overland, Missouri, Tammy Wilson of Heartland, Texas, Carol Hope of Greenville, Texas, Cindy Yarbrough of Wildomar, California, James Yarbrough of Sulphur Springs, Texas; grandchildren, Kelly Rector, Ashley Yarbrough, Darren Ford, Christina Lloyd, Jeramie Roe, Tiffany Niblock-Yarbrough, Chrystal McGee, Michael Jones, Krista Arnold, Danille Lowe, Austyn Yarbrough, Nick Jones, Lexie Yarbrough, Nichole Arnold, Kaleb Yarbrough, Jackson Yarbrough, Kaylee Archer, Jessica Yarbrough; fourteen great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Charles was preceded in death by his parents, Early E. and Josie Elizabeth Yarbrough; sisters, Viola Almond, Olivia Hodge, Sylvia Hodge, Ella Imogene Haynes; brothers, Eugene Yarbrough, Edward “Eddie” Yarbrough; son, Raymond Jones; and grandson, Sean Ford.
